Empowering Diversity in Fitness: Apply for the WH and MH Strength in Diversity Initiative
Women’s Health and Men’s Health are leading the charge in promoting diversity and inclusion in the fitness industry with their new initiative, the WH and MH Strength in Diversity Initiative. This program aims to provide trainers from marginalized communities with the tools and support they need to build successful careers in fitness.
The fitness industry has long struggled with issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion, with systemic barriers preventing many individuals from marginalized communities from pursuing careers in fitness. Women’s Health and Men’s Health are determined to change this narrative by offering trainers the opportunity to work with elite fitness professionals through a 15-week program.
Participants in the program will be paired with advising mentor trainers who will provide guidance on program building, brand-building, education, and workout design. They will also have access to Zoom clinics on video and social media content creation, nutrition in fitness, and coaching athletes. Additionally, trainers will have the opportunity to earn certifications from reputable organizations such as the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Precision Nutrition.
The goal of the initiative is for these trainers to bring their knowledge back to their communities, creating engaging and effective training plans that promote better fitness and long-term health for everyone. The program is open to trainers and aspiring trainers worldwide, with applications due by April 19, 2024.
By empowering trainers from marginalized communities, Women’s Health and Men’s Health are working towards a more inclusive and diverse fitness industry. Let’s get stronger together!
